What is Local Radio Day?
Local Radio Day is an annual event that celebrates the relationship between a local radio station and their listeners. It was launched in 2016 by UKRD and has been facilitated by the Sound Vision team since 2019 when UKRD was sold to Bauer. Sound Vision are a charity dedicated to empowering individuals and communities through personal development, education, creativity and communications.
Since then we also use the day to raise awareness of the community value of local radio.
